Robert’s Ramblings
A long over due up date to Robert's Rambling's. So much has changed in the past couple of years, Ashford has relocated to Central PA., out side Penn. State University. Ashford's new digs have allowed a lot more space for better organization and more inventory. I now work in a sea of bin boxes now but it allows faster order fulfillment so we can get you what you want fast. The biggest change is the long awaited NEW web site. This has been a massive undertaking and a long way from being completed. The strength of Ashford is our inventory, with over 8,000 items in stock we try to have anything you might need for the products we support. I felt it was important to give our customers access to our inventory in real time so I looked for a solution that would link our in house software with a remote e-commerce site. After a long search I have found the solution and I launched the new site in July of 06. I have been adding product to the site almost every day since then. I'm making changes to make the shopping experience easier so if you have feed back drop me a note at robert@ashfordhobby.com and I will look into it. Ashford has also made a few product changes with the addition and support of Kyosho on-road kits, We have made a significant investment in Kyosho parts and will be adding more as we see the need. I have also added a 1/12th Scale section. I have added lines like CRC, Associated, IRS, Slapmaster and a number of hard to find lines. Look for more additions in 2007 as Ashford will celebrate it's 10 year anniversary with a bang.
